2023 ICD-10-CM Code Updates

Description: Once again, coding professionals find themselves gearing up for the new ICD-10-CM guidelines and codes that will become effective October 1, 2022.  Some of this year’s major code changes include adding severity to dementia codes, specifying depth and location for endometriosis, and distinguishing between patient and caregiver non-compliance.  There is a new guideline addressing the coding and sequencing of hemolytic uremic syndrome with conditions like HIV and sepsis, as well as clarification as to the appropriateness of coding social determinants of health.  Join OHIMA’s Education Coordinator for an in-depth look at these topics and more in this webinar.

A condensed version of this presentation was given during the OHIMA 2022 Coding Seminar on September 29, 2022.
