We will share how we improved our ROI productivity, decreased turnaround times, and so much more! In this session, you will learn how you can improve all functions of release of information area by simply using some of our ideas including sending your ROI staff home! Attendees will learn how to create effective work queues and statuses so you always know where your work is, how to implement the "buddy system" by pairing an onsite and remote worker together, how to capitalize on staff's natural abilities to match them to the role that best suits them best, how the implementation of these processes will drastically increase productivity and decrease turnaround times, and more!

Speaker:  Jill Choi is currently the Director of Health Information Management at Nationwide Children's Hospital.  She has been at Nationwide Children's for 24 years.  She is responsible for Facility Coding, UR, CDI, Release of Information, Medical Record Support Services, including Identity and Deficiency Teams, and HIM Support Auditors.

Speaker:  Angela Dent  is the Supervisor of the Release of Information team at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Angela has been with NCH for 13 years. She is currently responsible for the day to day operations of the Release of Information team, with 8 years of experience focused on managing and releasing mental health records. Angela earned her Health Information Management Technology certificate in 2018 from Columbus State Community College.

Speaker:  Erin Kitsos is currently the Release of Information and HIM Support Services Manager at Nationwide Children's Hospital and has been with Children's for 12 years.
