Enterprise Revenue Cycle Management for the HIM Professional

Description: As health systems expand and implement enterprise practice management and health records, HIM professionals are presented with an opportunity to manage mid-revenue cycle operations of facility and professional coding, CDI, and revenue integrity.

While most HIM professionals are familiar with facility revenue cycle operations, integration of professional revenue cycle staff offers unique opportunities and challenges in less familiar territory.

This session offers perspectives from an enterprise director, facility and professional outpatient vendor, and facility and professional consultant, each with more than 20 years of healthcare experience.

Attendees will gain strategies for organizational transformation, resource optimization, and revolutionary approaches to revenue cycle management. HIM professionals can take these strategies to proactively gain skills and position their departments and staff as industry experts and bring value to the enterprise.
