Description: Health Information Management professionals have experienced major job skill changes over the years but now they are faced with a barrage of new challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and social justice issues. These changes are making HIM professionals wonder what will the HIM profession look like five years from now. This presentation will provide HIM professionals with the ability to evaluate change management trends and delineate organizational change roles, distinguish a variety of frameworks for leading change, demonstrate methods for managing recipients of change and develop a toolbox for becoming a master change agent.

Speaker: Pamela Greenstone-Childers, EdD, RHIA, has been an educator in the BS HIM Program at the University of Cincinnati for 11 years. She has been the Program Director since 2014 and Department Head for Clinical and Health Information Sciences Department since 2018. Pam also has many years of manager/director experiences within Health Information Management. Pam and her colleague, Jan Kelly, published an AHIMA textbook titled "Management for the Health Information Professional".
