Auditing the New E/M Codes for Physician Offices

Description: Patient over Paperwork Initiative. Now what do we look for regarding history and examination? How do we evaluate Medical Decision Making? EHR templates have or are being updated, but what does that mean regarding direct patient care? This is the largest change in E/M codes since 1997. There are large gaps in information regarding what 'time' means for these new definitions. Practical guidance and scenarios will be provided from most recent January activities from individual group practices to large 600 provider group practices. Are we really putting the patient over paperwork? Will these records provide continuity of care? We will try to answer questions with the assistance of the groups participation. No one will be an expert, we will all have to pool our resources.
