Speaker:  Deresa Claybrook, MS, RHIT, CPC-I, is the President of Positive Resource Health Care Industry Consultants. Positive Resource for short is a consulting company that originated in Moore, Oklahoma.  Mrs. Claybrook specializes in Health Information Management (HIM) and Human Resource (HR) training. 
Mrs. Claybrook has over 30 years in the healthcare industry. She has practical experience as a Medical Coder, Medical Records Director, Human Resource Director, and Adjunct Professor.  

Mrs. Claybrook loves to train, motivate, and inspire those in the healthcare field to perform their best.  She is a part-time adjunct professor at Oklahoma City Community College.  She has experience teaching Health Information Management type classes online and she offers professional consulting services for revenue cycle improvement.

Mrs. Claybrook received her Master of Science degree in Management and her Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources from Southern Nazarene. She graduated with her Associate’s degree in Medical Records Science from Amarillo College in 1986.  She is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and she is also a Certified Professional Coder Instructor, CPC-I through the American Academy of Professional Coders, AAPC

She works directly with individuals preparing them for a career in the field of Health Information Management.  She also works as a Health Information Management Consultant for various health care clinics. She utilizes her background in HIM and HR to offer her students a well-rounded approach to their careers in this exciting field and beyond.

She has written professionally for many health care magazines. She is an Advanced Communicator Silver through Toastmaster and speaks nationally on various health care topics in her field.
