Description: Do the ins and outs of infusion and injection (I&I) coding keep you up at night? Are you sure where to place “hydration” in the I&I hierarchy? Should you have assigned that thoracentesis code with CPT code 96440 for chemotherapy into the pleural cavity? Are these injection codes used with vaccines? If these and other infusion and injection questions are plaguing you, then join Dianna Foley, OHIMA’s Coding Education Coordinator for an in depth look at I&I coding in this webinar. She’ll provide an overview of the I&I codes and their hierarchy, along with relevant CPT Assistant and Coding Clinic for HCPCS advice. Real world scenarios with proper coding will round out the presentation.
