Multidisciplinary Collaboration is Key: Your Guide to Interoperability Success

Description: Interoperability has required Health Information Management to rethink how to manage the flow of health information throughout its lifecycle. Substantial, cross-functional preparation and adjustments are underway. This session outlines the multidisciplinary approach successful hospitals have taken to implement the wide-range of interoperability and information-blocking regulations. The speakers help attendees outline a list of key questions, build a requirements checklist, conduct a gap analysis, define multidisciplinary expectations, cross-functional implementation, and timeline, and finally achieving compliance. Attendees explore how to apply the appropriate exception criteria to the information blocking rule and review new rule details, specific modifications, extensions, and deadlines all health information professionals need to know.
