Description: In this presentation, HIM professionals will assess their resilience, identify ways to improve their strength and assist others in identifying their need for resiliency skills. The workshop will also research the positive outcomes that can occur with a more resilient healthcare workforce and the importance of sound well-being. A hands-on activity will allow participants to relate to others in developing resiliency skills.

Speaker: Pamela Greenstone-Childers, EdD, RHIA, is an HIM professional with forty years of experience in leadership and higher education. She is currently the Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Allied Health Sciences and Department Head of the Clinical and Health Information Sciences unit for the University of Cincinnati. She previously was the HIM Program Director for the online Bachelor of Science HIM degree. She has held HIM Director positions in various healthcare settings, including a children's hospital, rehabilitation hospital, and long-term acute care organization. Pam is a Past President of OHIMA and is now on the Leadership Strategy Committee. Jan Kelly and Pam co-authored the textbook "Management for the HIM Professional," and it is undergoing its third revision at this time.
