Description: Payment-related scrutiny is the greatest compliance and financial risk for short-term acute care providers. To mitigate this, hospitals should be using their annual PEPPER Reports to understand their current risk profile to help lessen payer denials to the greatest extent possible. This presentation will help HIM and Revenue Cycle Management understand how to review and analyze their PEPPER Report to identify their greatest risk areas, as well as how to incorporate this data to reduce payor audit and recovery efforts.
