Description: Join me for an up to date look at the surgical treatment of valvular heart disease. In this session, we will review both open and minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of valvular heart disease, PCS/CPT coding, and pertinent guidance. Additionally, we will explore the documentation challenges of commonly associated post-operative conditions.

• Have a working knowledge of valvular anatomy and commonly occurring diseases
• Gain an understanding to the surgical correction of valvular heart disease and the associated PCS/CPT coding of those procedures
• Understand the documentation and coding challenges of commonly occurring post-operative conditions associated with valvular heart disease, such as congestive heart failure

Speaker:  Adriane Martin, DO, FACOS, CCDS, graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center with her Doctorate of Osteopathy. She completed her general surgery residency at Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas/Ft. Worth in 2004. Dr. Martin has practiced general surgery for over 15 years. Since 2014 Dr. Martin has been a part of the Enjoin team.
