Aortic Aneurysm: Repairs and Complications

Description: This presentation will cover the spectrum of aortic aneurysm pathology. It will discuss thoracic aortic aneurysms and dissections as well as abdominal aortic aneurysms and rupture. In addition to pathology, the presentation will cover treatment options and complications that may arise from these treatments.

Speaker:  Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Asvin Ganapathi, MD, received his BS in engineering at Stanford University and subsequently his MD from Case Western Reserve University. He then completed his general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery residency at Duke University. He then started at the Ohio State University in August 2019 as an assistant professor in cardiac surgery. His current practice includes adult cardiac surgery including proximal aortic surgery as well as thoracic transplantation.

 

 

Speaker:  Dr. Xiaoyi Teng graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and then completed her Vascular Surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She performs all aspects of vascular surgery including open and endovascular surgery.
