Speaker: Ericka Coplin, RHIA, CCS, has over 20 years of experience in Health Information Management, with expertise in professional, outpatient, and inpatient facility coding. She has held a variety of roles, including coder, coding coordinator, and educator, and has extensive experience in coder training, quality review, and audit management. During her tenure as Coding Coordinator for an acute care hospital, Ericka led education for the ICD-10-CM/PCS transition and served on the Revenue Cycle Committee. She earned her Health Information Management degrees from Stark State College and the University of Cincinnati and is a past recipient of OHIMA's New Graduate Award. She was also inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. An active OHIMA volunteer, Ericka has served on multiple committees and mentors participants in the VIP PPE Coding, Auditing, and Revenue Cycle Module. Currently, Ericka serves as the Senior Manager of Education, Coding & Revenue Cycle Management with AHIMA and as an Adjunct Instructor in the Medical Coding Certificate Program at Stark State College.
