Keys to Success: A Webinar for HIM/HIT Students

Description: This webinar is designed to provide HIM/HIT students with keys for success which can be utilized not only while in the classroom but also as they transition to the workforce. Focus will be on fostering good study habits, RHIA/RHIT certification exam preparation, development of a personal brand, and methods for showcasing skills including resumes, interviews, and portfolios. Join us for this hour-long presentation as we impart tips from Ohio educators throughout the state as we seek to support students in their quest to attain HIM/HIT knowledge and become valuable members of our profession.

Speaker: Dianna Foley, BS, RHIA, CCS, CDIP, CHPS, is OHIMA's Education Coordinator. Dianna has been an HIM professional for 20 years. She progressed through the ranks of coder, department supervisor, and department director, to her current role as a coding consultant. She recently served as the program director for Medical Coding and HIT at Eastern Gateway Community College. Dianna earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati subsequently achieving her RHIA, CHPS, and CCS certifications. She is an AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer and has been part of OHIMA's Coding Roundtable Committee, facilitating roundtables held at the OHIMA annual meeting.
She has been a presenter at regional HIM meetings and the OHIMA Annual Meeting.
